Sean and his team did an excellent job replacing my conservatory roof with a very well insulated hard roof.
This has made a massive difference to both the warmth and the sound proofing of the room. I can now continue to use the room throughout the year and is probably now my favorite room in the house.
From a sound perspective I can easily hear the TV, listen to music or take a phone call during the heaviest rainstorm. It is also very noticeable how much warmer the room is, even without switching on the radiators and extremely comfortable with them switched on. I am anticipating that the room will also be much cooler in the summer months, where it has been too hot for practical use in previous years, even with the doors and windows wide open.
The conservatory is quite large, appx 5m x 3.5m and not just a regular rectangle, with a non-straight connection to the wall of the house so, not a straightforward job. I thought that the price was very fair, considering the non-linear roof construction, and included independent insurance cover from deposit through to the completed work and dealing with planning regulations, approvals and certification as required.
Sean and his team were, to a man, very pleasant people to work with. They worked hard but also took time to ensure that I was happy with the work being carried out and keeping me informed of progress and any issues arising; in my case occurring almost exclusively from poor weather, which they took in their stride, to the point of getting soaked through in a couple of instances, in order to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

The whole process was done over the course of a couple of weeks. Sean and the team worked very hard to get the project completed. The additional storage cupboards were definitely worth being built and took nearly as long as the roof. All the garden cushions are now tidied away and the place feels less cuttered. The conservatory has gone from not being used to being used every day.
